Greetings Columbia Families and Community Members,
Welcome back to another exciting year of learning at Columbia Elementary! I feel privileged to be able to work with a high quality team and dedicated community. I have served in multiple capacities for Orange County Public Schools over the past 12 years and I am excited to join the Columbia family and serve as your new Principal.
I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for the warm welcome I have received. I look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We will work together to ensure that our students have opportunities to be successful in both academics and in their social-emotional learning. Our team is dedicated to preparing our students for lifelong learning by cultivating a culture that encourages our students and staff to be reflective, innovating, confident, engaged and responsible. Our students will achieve academic excellence through these core principles.
Close collaboration between home and school plays an important role in your child’s success. I encourage you to remain active in your child’s education. There are many opportunities to be involved and I hope you join our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). This is a great way to support school fundraising, planning events, meeting parents and participating in other fun activities. Our School Advisory Committee (SAC) will also meet throughout the year to cover many topics, including school-wide progress. Keep an eye out for school updates and events through Facebook, the School Website and weekly Connect Orange messages.
