Principal’s Message

A woman with blonde hair smiles at the camera, wearing a dark green top.Welcome to Columbia Elementary—Where Every Child Blooms!

As we begin the 2025-2026 school year, I am thrilled to welcome our students, families, and staff to a place where growth is celebrated and greatness is nurtured every day. Our school theme for the year, “Watch Us Bloom: Growing Greatness Together,” reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive, joyful, and academically thriving environment. This year we will focus on Kindness, Resiliency and Leadership.

At Columbia, we believe that every child has unique strengths waiting to blossom. With the addition of our ESE separate classrooms, new community partnerships, and a focus on belonging and connection, this school year is a fresh opportunity for every member of our school family to bloom. Together, we’ll nurture a culture of belonging, joy, and high expectations. I look forward to the garden we’ll grow.

Please join us for Meet the Teacher on August 7th from 1:00–3:00 PM, as we kick off the year with warmth, excitement, and a shared commitment to helping every learner grow.

Let’s bloom boldly,

Katie Brinkman

Principal, Columbia Elementary
